I am Lewis Boreham, I am a 19 year old, studying photographer and have been taking photos for around 3 years. I am currently studying a foundation degree in Professional Photography at City of Bristol College. From this foundation, I am hoping to go onto either, LCC to study Photojournalism, or, LCF to study Fashion Photography.
Previous to my foundation degree, I studied Business, Psychology and Graphic Art at A Level. During this time I also took part in a 12 week course on basic photography skills at City of Bath College.
The course at City of Bath College is where I learnt all the basic techniques, language and skills needed in photography but everything after that was completely self taught.
Currently my work is very varied as I don't want to concentrate too hard on one particular area of photography just yet. Mainly I work in landscapes, street photography, portraits and documentary. I also enjoy working on black and white film.
The cameras that I use are a Pentax K30 DSLR with a 18-55mm WR lens, a 55-200mm lens and a 50mm prime F1.7 lens. I also use a Cannon 300D SLR and my most recent purchase was is a Lubitel medium format TLR.
As far as home life goes, I live in a very small village called Hawkesbury Upton which is on the very out stretches of Bristol. I enjoy where I live as it's very peaceful and quiet, the scenery is great but I can take a 20 minute drive into Bristol City Centre as well.
I attend college two days a week and in the rest of my time I am either taking photos, editing photos or working on assignments! I live and breathe photography but when I'm not doing that, I like to play golf, take walks, go on holiday and socialise...usually all with a camera in hand.
